U18 - Cadets - Basket Esch B

Basket Esch B defeated Kordall Steelers 80-59 and stopped a two-game losing run. In the new table, Esch B stays 5th at 1-2, while Kordall remains 6th at 0-3 and has now lost three in a row.

The game started with Kordall sharper. Ryan Da Silva (KDS) hit the first 3-pointer and Maylon Ramos Monteiro (KDS) pushed the visitors to a 5-0 lead. Esch answered immediately with six straight points, through Mathis Bath Rama (LALB) and Emir Huremovic (LALB), and the first quarter stayed competitive at 21-15. Ramos Monteiro was already a major factor there, scoring repeatedly to keep KDS close.

The key stretch came in the second period. Coach Quinten Gregory Dee's team raised the pressure and put together a 12-0 run, turning 21-15 into 33-15. From that moment, the home side controlled the rhythm and reached halftime with a clear 43-21 advantage.

Esch also handled Kordall's better moments after the break. Da Silva and Jayson Otiu (KDS) tried to restart the away side, but Bath Rama and the 17-year-old captain Charles Widong (LALB) answered well, and the lead never seriously came under threat. The highest margin reached 27 points at 80-53 before Kordall closed on a late 6-0 run.

Esch had the more balanced attack: Bath Rama scored 22, Widong 18 and Huremovic 12. Marvin Semedo Gomes (LALB) added 8 and Joao Pedro Da Silva Dias (LALB) 7. For Kordall, Ramos Monteiro carried a big load with 29 points, while Da Silva added 15 and Otiu 13. Those three produced 57 of KDS's 59 points, with Kordall operating without bench depth.
